Sun, 20 April 2008 Hey everyone! I know I've been quiet for the past month or so - but that's because things have been nuts around here. Trying to plan a wedding, getting an apartment in order - I've been going nuts! But we got the studio set up, and you can expect some real shows coming soon with media reviews of I Am Legend, Rock Band, and some other things. But in the meantime, last week I appeared on the show Dan is on Otaku Generation. It's a little different than I what I normally do, but I thought at least I would give you something to listen to. And coming soon - I appear in an episode of Fanboy Hell where we talk Torchwood! So new content coming soon, but in the meantime, I hope you enjoy this. If you did, let me know at 206-338-3942. Talk to you in a bit! MA Direct download: 149_OtakuGeneration_Show_149_the_DMJA_show.mp3 Category: podcasts -- posted at: 7:49 PM Comments[0] |
Tue, 1 April 2008 No regular show this week, guys - there has been so much going on here, I haven't had time to sit down at the mike, except to record an episode of Escape Pod. But Big Things happened in the last week. If you missed it on Twitter: Go Here: http://mainpa.livejournal.com/11476.html Also - today is Infected Day! Scott Sigler's Infected hits the stores today (though I know some were able to pick it up early). I think we are going to pick up our copies tonight - I guess we'll see how we feel. Muscles have been sore from all the moving we've been doing. And finally, on a sober note - today marks the year anniversary of the passing of Joe Murphy, when he lost his battle with Leiomeiosarcoma. I remember Joe - as my favorite voice on Slice of Sci Fi, Michael and Evo's Wingin It, and The Kick Ass Mystic Ninjas. I never met him, and I have a feeling my life is poorer for it. So, for this show, I'm playing the tribute episode. Here are the show notes posted at Give Us a Minute: These are the reflections, the memories, and the considerations of people from across the country and around the world that called Joe Murphy “friend…
These are only a few of the lives this one single voice in the podosphere touched. This is a show that may make you laugh, may make you cry, and will give you a look at the soul we all knew for far too brief a time. For those of you contributing to this audio tribute, we at the Joe Murphy Memorial Fund thank you. WHAT YOU CAN DO: The more people carry this episode, the more people will know about our missing ninja. Thank you all for your time and attention. Tell everyone you know.
